In this exhibition, Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei invite you to explore the physical, cultural, and spiritual elements that define their identity and connection to the whenua.

Visitors will experience an intimate navigation of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei's legacy, resilience, and vision for future. The stories will be told through a combination of never before exhibited taonga, from both the Museum's collection and that of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei.

From the selection of taonga and imagery to the design and interpretation, the story is told by Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei in their own words.
